About Emmanuel Temple Church, Inc.
Bishop Luther H Moore III in Philadelphia, Pa founded Emmanuel Temple Church in a community town watch building of West Philadelphia in January of 1986. This was the first of two beginnings for Emmanuel Temple. After about a year in the town watch building Emmanuel Temple would move its small group into the Home of Bishop and Pastor Robin Moore while they looked for another home base after having to leave the Town Watch building having used the allotted period of time there. Emmanuel Temple would become established again in West Philadelphia after moving one other time. The Church would begin to grow under the leadership of Bishop & Pastor Moore as many souls began to accept the word of God and give their lives to the Lord. Emmanuel Temple was born out of a burning passion to see souls delivered and saved and to see new born believers not exposed to destructive religion and traditions. We took to the streets and sought the souls of men through personal evangelism, satellite Bible Classes, street services and other aggressive forms of outreach. At its beginning Emmanuel Temple was a part of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith, Inc., and would maintain with this covering for the next 15 years. After seeking the Lord about a word that he received from the Lord, Bishop Moore began to make preparations to move the ministry and his family to North Carolina. After much prayer and consecration in the presence of the Lord and receiving a confirmation for the move Bishop Moore made preparations for the souls in the Philadelphia Ministry. After all things were worked out Pastor Moore made the move with God having made personal provisions before the move was made.
After being in North Carolina for two years and assisting another Pastor during that time, and the faith of Bishop and Pastor Moore being put to the test, The Lord spoke to Bishop Moore to put in motion the second beginning of Emmanuel Temple Church. Bible Classes were established in several places and a number of young souls were saved. Soon the Lord would bless the Bishop and a group of Young people with a Building for worship. The building was fully furnished with a seating capacity of 250, which was more than enough for the re-establishment of the Ministry. The Lord began to send help in regularly and many souls were won to the Lord through the Ministry. After 4 years the Lord would bless the ministry to implement a ¼ of a Million dollar construction project where the Church was enlarged and renovated. Emmanuel Temple is a prime example of the fact that it does not take a large crowd to expand. During the time that we have been here in North Carolina we have seen them come and seen them go, but by the grace and power if God we remain. At Emmanuel Temple North Carolina we are involved with feeding the hungry, marriage and family ministry, community Service work program, Youth Mentoring, and more. We operate these programs on a small scale we are looking for God to do greater things as he continues to send help to the temple.
What we believe
We believe that the Bible is the inerrant word if God, and that the word of God, the Scriptures, reveal to us the plan of Salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ died on the Cross-for the Salvation of the lost and became an eternal atonement for the sins of all those that will receive him. We believe that the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23), and that sins wage was paid for us through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. We believe according to the scriptures that we are crucified with Christ (Gal 2:20) through our acceptance of the Gospel and that because Christ is in us the body is dead because of sin and the spirit life because of righteousness (Rom 8:10). We believe that the redemptive work of Christ is applied to our lives when one believes the preaching of the gospel, accept and confess the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives (Rom 10:9-10), taking on water Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:14-15;Acts 19:2-4), receiving of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4) and continuing steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine (Acts 2: 41-42). We believe that there is one God that operates in a threefold office; Father in creation, Son in redemption and Holy Ghost in the Church. We believe that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself (2 Cor 5:19) and that Christ is the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col 2:9), thus being the image of the invisible God. We believe that God revealed himself to man in a Monotheistic manner, so therefore we believe that the Lord our God is one Lord (Duet 6:4). We believe that Holy Communion should be honored by the Church in Commemoration of the sacrificial death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe that the people of God should walk according to the scriptures and allow the Holy Ghost to rule in our hearts. We believe that the child of God should walk in the light of the scriptures as to bring glory and honor to God. We believe that the Lord shall cause the Church on earth to be caught up in a moment and in the twinkling of an eye (I Thess 4:16-17;1 Cor 15:51-52), and that this event is soon to come to pass.

Domestic Violence in the Christian Church
As a leader in the Christian Church I am very concerned about the issue of "Domestic Violence." Although for a very long time I have been aware of the problem and that it existed in our community, I have become more educated about the problem and the dynamics that surround it. It is alarming to know that over 36,000 women were murdered in our country by husbands, boyfriends, and ex-husbands over the past 30 years. It is also alarming to know that 1 out of every 4 women are beaten or sexually assaulted my a man every day. That is a documented statistic, which does not include the assaults that go unreported. In 2001 the Journal of the American Medical Association published a study which found that 20% of adolescent girls were physically or sexually abused while on a date, and again that can only be based on reported cases.
The statistics go on and on, which shows that Domestic violence is a problem that is now at apocalyptic proportions. I became very troubled after going to trainings lectures and workshops, etc., which brought this dark issue to light in my mind and heart. It is unfortunate that many do not see the problem of men's violence against women as a major issue. Many only see the cases of men's violence against women as isolated cases. But with all the staggering statistics we can see clearly that this is not about isolated issues. There are women all over the country and world that I have learned of and am yet learning of, who have made it there life's mission to change this problem. One of the major thing that has to happen is that more men need to get involved in the mission of ending men's violence against women.
As a leader in the Christian Community I know that this problem is not just on the secular arena.
This is a problem that is being faced in our churches across the country but it seems that no one dare talk about it. I believe and am working very hard to break the silence in my circles of fellowship with the faith that it will catch the attention of others, mainly men, so that there are greater numbers working to change this problem. We can no longer sweep this issue under the carpet because the statistics mentioned above will rise and eventually it will come knocking at our door if it has not already. I will be dealing with this matter for the long haul and welcome your thoughts, Comments and Questions.

The Fruit of labor
Introduction:
It is the desire of every person to know that what he or she does makes a difference. Knowing that you have made a difference gives you the feeling of achievement or accomplishment. Working hard and not seeing the fruit of your labor can be very discouraging and exhausting. Having a vision and not seeing the vision come to fruition can make one feel that the vision was misunderstood at the time it was realized. But in the years that I have been working for the Lord I have learned that the enemy can use this feeling as a strategy for the undermining of the purpose and call of the believer. It is important that the laborer in the garden has a clear understanding of the call and purpose that God has for your life and that you understand the result that the Lord intends to get out of your efforts. Every person that works for the Lord reproduces himself in his work (Gen 1:11-13). The fruit that a person bears is the personification of his inner vision and in many cases ability. The Bible teaches that you judge a tree by the fruit that he bears. The fruit of a tree are determined by the kind of nutrients that the root of the tree has to implant in its fruit. If the roots are weak and impotent the fruit will appear unappealing or non-appetizing. It will be fruit that is sickly and not able to provide nutrition to one who partakes of it. This is what it is like with a person that has a work but does not have the potency to make fruit that is effective. If the tree is not right the fruit that it bears will not be right.
If the tree is weak and unrighteous the fruit will be weak and unrighteous. If the tree feels limited he will only produce fruit that will go only to a certain point. What we are has seed within itself that reproduces who we really are. So it is important that he/she that is in the position of leadership get the proper nutrients through the word of God, prayer, fasting and worship.
The Kingdom Principal of Sowing and Reaping
Galatians 6:7b - for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
There is a basic law of nature that cannot be changed, and that is whatever you plant in the earth is going to produce like fruit. This is also a Biblical principle that will not change. Every cause has an Effect. Every behavior has a consequence. This truth is something that should be considered before taking any particular action. It is important that we understand that our actions are actually seeds that we plant into our lives that will eventually produce some kind of fruit. In the natural and the spiritual actions will produce fruit. If one should go out and commit a crime the result of this seed will be that the law will judge such actions. This principal will determine where we get in life. This is a natural law that cannot be changed. We succeed or fail in life based on this principal. If one is going to reach heights in life that are rewarding they will have to put in the necessary time to achieve that. If one is going to become an engineer he or she must put in the time and study in order reach that goal. The time that is invested in the necessary study is actually seeds that are planted. The fruit of engineering expertise will be the fruit of the time. It is important that we understand the power of sowing. The scripture teaches us that if we sow in the flesh we will reap corruption and if we sow in the spirit we will reap life. The Bible teaches that whatever a man sows that will he also reap. One might ask if we get saved will we have to reap the seed we have sown. Let’s look at that question. We know for sure that if the Lord Jesus saves us we become new creatures in him. The Bible says, “If any man be in Christ is a new creature, old things are passed away and behold all things are become new.” So there is no question that the Lord saves. But consider for instance if a man commits murder and then gets saved. After he gets saved the law catches up with him. He is tried and a jury of his peers finds him guilty of first-degree murder. He is led out of the courtroom in handcuffs and sent to prison to serve life without the possibility of parole. Is he saved? Yes. Even though he is saved he has violated a God given law that even the laws of the lands uphold, “Thou shalt not kill.”
